The municipalities of Colwood and Langford sit next to each other and constitute the centre of Greater Victoria’s west shore communities. Both have seen an explosion of development in the last decade thanks in large part to a dedicated infrastructure improvement strategy.
Along with a lot of newer housing, there has been plenty of commercial development, especially in Langford, which boasts one of the fastest growing populations in Canada. Property values in both municipalities are similar, with Colwood registering slightly lower average condo prices in 2012, while Langford has somewhat lower cost townhomes during the same time period.
