Moving to Victoria BC for Education

,

People who live in rural areas and small communities around BC might consider moving to Victoria BC for education.  Whether you are looking for a quality education for your children at the k-12 level or post-secondary education for any member of your family, Victoria has much to offer.

School districts in Victoria also welcome international students who want to take advantage of our progressive system and along with that, fine-tune their English language skills.  Some of these students participate in home-stay programs where they are billeted with local families.

Many people who move to Victoria for education do so in order to access the type of post secondary education that they can’t get in their hometown.  Victoria can provide almost any manner of training and education at various institutes including:

  • Career Colleges;
  • Trade Schools;
  • Technical Schools, and
  • Universities.

Every year sees an influx of new high school graduates moving to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria, Camosun College or any one of a number of trade and technical schools to obtain the skills and knowledge needed for their chosen careers. And after they’ve been educated, some of these people find employment in the Greater Victoria area and settle here, because they like living in Victoria!
