With the waves crashing into both shores of the Island and the mountains towering in the distance, Victoria brings the jaw-dropping scenery plus excellent mild weather for most months of the year. Thanks to the mild climate, you can golf in October or March with nothing more than a light sweater.

Olympic View
Olympic View Golf Course is tucked away deep in the forest, filled with awe-inspiring waterfalls, lakes and wildlife. The main attraction – and the course’s namesake – is the snow-peaked Olympic Mountains in the distance. Golfers are spoiled with west coast tranquility and beauty at Olympic View.
The well-kept course and truly amazing natural beauty at Olympic View have earned it some impressive accolades over the years, like ‘Top 10 Best Public Golf Course Facility’ in BC and ‘Top 50 Golf Courses in Canada’.
Olympic View Golf Club is found on 643 Latoria Road, in Colwood towards the municipality of Metchosin. Sooke Road to Veterans Memorial or Metchosin Road is the best way to reach the course for most people.

Uplands
Uplands Golf Club is a semi-private golf club in the Uplands neighbourhood of Oak Bay. Located on 120 picturesque acres, Uplands is located just a quick 10-minute drive from downtown Victoria.
The is a walkable course that players can enjoy for life. The leisurely-style parkland course is home to breathtaking vistas that demand very minimal change in elevation.
Uplands Golf Club was established in 1922 by the United Services Club, but its roots began even further back in the 1880s at Macaulay Point. The land was originally used as agricultural real estate to feed Fort Victoria, which turned out to be an ideal location for 18-holes.
As part of PGA Tour Americas, Uplands has hosted the Time Colonist Open since 2013, which attracts world class golfers from around the world.

Royal Colwood
Royal Colwood Golf Club is a private club located in Victoria’s municipality of Colwood, at 629 Goldstream, between Sooke Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway. Royal Colwood is also right next to the iconic Hatley Castle, perched above Esquimalt Lagoon.
The golf course got its Royal designation from King George V in 1931, nearly 20 years after it was designed by Arthur Vernon Macan. Royal Colwood is one of the few golf clubs in the world granted a Royal designation and is consistently ranked among Canada’s top courses. Royal Colwood is a traditional parklands championship course that features ancient 45-year-old douglas firs and garry oaks.
Championship pedigree runs deep at Royal Colwood, which has hosted numerous events over the decades, including the BC Open Championship, T.P.S. Tour, and Payless Open.

Cordova Bay
Cordova Bay Golf Course can be found in the idyllic Saanich neighbourhood of Cordova Bay, sandwiched between Elk Lake and the ocean. With such a scenic oceanside location, the views are everything you’d expect.
Cordova Bay is home to two stunning courses. The Bay Course offers 18-holes just steps from the ocean. The Ridge Course is 9-holes and par 3 but just as fun, perched above with the most incredible views of Haro Strait and Mount Baker.
Cordova Bay opened its doors in 1991, designed by legendary architect Bill Robinson. With an impressive resume, Robinson worked with Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Geoff Cornish for part of his career, and has designed over 50 courses across Canada and the US.

Bear Mountain
Bear Mountain is a golf and tennis resort community perched on top of the Bear Mountain neighbourhood in Langford. One of the newer golf courses in this article, Bear Mountain has quickly become one of the most esteemed in the entire country.
Bear Mountain is home to Canada’s one and only 36-holes of Nicklaus Design, and was named Golf Canada’s sole home for their National Development centre. It stands out as one of the premier golf destinations in Victoria.
The Valley Course is known as the more laid-back and picturesque course, while the Mountain Course is the more challenging of the two, with rugged and demanding terrain. However, both provide iconic Vancouver Island landscapes and jaw-dropping views.

Victoria Golf Club
Victoria Golf Club is the oldest 18-hole course on its original grounds in the entire country, which was founded in 1893. The current course architecture has remained intact since the mid-1920s. From its greens to its historic clubhouse, Victoria Golf Club is steeped in tradition. As such, Victoria Golf Club is consistently ranked among the best on Vancouver Island and top 5 in the entire province.
Victoria Golf Club is located at 1110 Beach Drive in South Oak Bay, one of Victoria’s most desirable neighbourhoods. Found between Oak Bay Marina and McMicking Point, the ocean views from Victoria Golf Club are unmatched. 5 holes are directly next to the ocean, while most of the others provide clear ocean views.
As a membership-based golf club, non-members must satisfy a range of criteria before booking a tee time.

Highland Pacific
Highland Pacific is a friendly public golf course that provides a challenging, championship golf course along with stunning natural beauty. Throughout the course, golfers get to enjoy some pretty incredible views of the Olympic Mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Thetis Lake.
Highland Pacific is located at 450 Creed Road, which is accessible via the Trans Canada Highway. The golf course is fairly centrally located in View Royal near the Victoria General Hospital, in between Saanich and Langford.
In addition to its 18-hole course, Highland Pacific offers a scenic driving range and a café. They also offer lessons, and host regular tournaments, league nights, and club events.
