A huge crowd of music lovers who are living in Victoria are now enjoying one of the premier music entertainment events of the year – Rifflandia. This uber-successful festival began with a bang in 2008, and has continued to grow in popularity ever since.
This year, Rifflandia has added Royal Athletic Park to its’ long list of venues, which will accommodate the ever growing audience. Other venues include:
- Alix Goolden Hall;
- Metro Theatre;
- Wood Hall;
- Victoria Event Centre;
- Phillips Brewery;
- Sugar;
- Lucky Bar, and
- Club 9ONE9
This year’s line-up is once again impressive, offering over 100 acts – good luck picking and choosing which to catch! Victoria Times Colonist reporter Mike Devlin offers his top ten picks in 10 Rifflandia acts that shouldn’t be missed.
Me, I have a soft spot for City and Colour, which is the solo project of Alexis on Fire’s Dallas Green. He’s performing on the main stage at Royal Athletic Park on Saturday night, and there’s a seat there with my name on it!
If you are among the fortunate who are in Victoria this weekend, or are lucky enough to be living in Victoria, don’t miss this music festival – Rifflandia offers an amazing line-up of music entertainment.
