Island View neighbourhood in Central Saanich lies to the east of the Pat Bay Highway and just north of the Martindale neighbourhood. It takes its name from one of Greater Victoria’s treasures – Island View beach, a CRD park boasting a beautiful long stretch of sand and unique dune and wetlands ecosystem. There is a campground at Island View Beach, open from Victoria Day long weekend until Labour Day.
Much of Island View neighbourhood is either park or farmland, but there is a small cluster of homes on the bluff overlooking the park and a few large waterfront properties. This Central Saanich neighbourhood offers quiet living, some amazing views and proximity to both Brentwood Bay and Saanichton, with the city of Victoria only about 20 minutes away.
