Happy Halloween and welcome back to our series of monthly Victoria BC real-estate articles. This month we are looking at local Victoria BC realty statistics comparing September 2023 with September 2022.

Victoria Real Estate Stats for Condos and Apartments in September 2023

September saw buyers purchasing more Victoria condo and apartment units than in the previous year by a good margin. While prices have been somewhat predicable, buyers obviously continue to spend slightly more per unit in 2023 when compared with the previous year. An improvement in days to sell over last year indicates that people are becoming eager to make a purchase.

Victoria Real Estate Stats for Single Family Homes in September 2023

The days to sell are the only downside to the market for Victoria single family home buyers able to spend an extra $100k on average vs. last years prices. Despite the longer listing times the number of units sold in September 2023 made an impressive leap over previous years.

Victoria Real Estate Stats for Townhomes and Duplexes in September 2023

While people still paid slightly more in the townhomes and duplexes market than previously, the rate of increase is the lowest of the 3 sectors we are comparing. The higher sell to list ratio and number of units sold in September are both remarkably good indicators of the market health. As always, the is very much a seller’s market.
